A Perfect Day...

It would start out by waking up with the sun slowly rising over the horizon at 5:45am. It would be a beautiful Friday spring morning, 70 degrees and no humidity. To start the day, I throw on a pair of my Nike running shoes and take a nice short morning jog. I like taking jogs before work so I can clear my mind for the day ahead and think of what the day has in store for me.

When I return from my jog I go upstairs to my master bedroom and take a nice warm shower. After my shower I’ll go into my walk in closet and throw on a brand new black pin stripe Versace suite with a gold tie, gold tie’s are my good luck ties. Next I’ll walk downstairs and sit down and enjoy my eggs, hash browns and double bacon, with a nice glass of O.J. prepared by my wife. During breakfast take a quick scan through the morning news to see what’s going on in the world. I’ll grab the Wall Street Journal and a few other readings and hop into my car and get driven into NYC for work.

Arrive at the office at 7:45am and get started on the work I have in front of me for the day. Hopefully I’ll be able to get out of the office by 1:30pm, take a half of day. I’ll start the weekend off right by going to the horse track and watching my own and my other friends’ horses’ race. It will be a good day at the track we will all have a successful betting day as well as profitable day with our horses running. After talking to the trainers about the horses a few of us will leave the track and go shoot nine holes before the sun sets. After an afternoon with the guys I have to make some time for my wife.

Since I’m always multi-tasking with work, the horses and designating time for my family I’ll make a phone call to the Land Rover Concierge and ask them to make a reservation for me and my wife at one of our favorite restaurants on the island, usually one of our favorite Italian restaurants. I’ll take a quick shower spend some time with the kids and head out to dinner with my wife. I’ll enjoy a good dinner, have a few glasses of wine and kiss my wife and tell her I’ll see her in a bit. She obviously knows since the Knicks are in the playoffs I’ll be at that game that night at the Garden with the guys. After watching the Knicks defeat Lebron and the Cavs in the Eastern Conference Finals, I finally get to see the Knicks back in the NBA finals. After the game there is nothing better than grabbing a nightcap with my buddies and celebrate the Knicks win. I’ll be out later than I expected, and since I always come home late I have my flower guy who is always open late and I’ll stop buy and get flowers for the wife. I’ll head back to Long Island, probably having to apologize to the wife when I get home, but hey it was a hell of a night, and a day, and thank God tomorrow is Saturday and I’m able to sleep late!
